The Opportunity

Our portfolio is a mix of commercial construction projects, office and food shop fit-outs and the design and manufacture of transportable amenities, cabins and housing within the Riverina region and surrounds.

We are currently seeking motivated, experienced Leading Hands to join our team. As the Leading Hand - Carpenter, you are responsible for working along with other team members and project managers to successfully and safely complete projects they are required to work on.

You will join a great team who thrives on solving problems and getting things done quickly.

About The Role:

Your day-to-day responsibilities are to manage the site to ensure the successful delivery of the project, your main duties will include:

  • Site supervision and responsibility
  • Hands-on Carpentry
  • Coordination and documentation of all site activities
  • Management of subcontractors
  • Management of site resources
  • Construction programming
  • HSEQ implementation and compliance with company procedures
Requirements

Qualifications

Leading Hands require excellent communication and time management skills.

  • Competency with Project Management Software
  • Cert III as a minimum in carpentry
  • Understanding and demonstrating implementation of the HSEQ management systems
  • Previous experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
  • In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
  • Experience in setting up new buildings will be highly favoured
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire
  • Preferably a trade certificate, degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field; a Master’s degree is a plus

Other Requirements

  • A valid driver's license.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
