Proquip, a leading provider of quality equipment and machinery solutions, is seeking a dedicated Operations coordinator for our Kewdale Branch. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the activities related to the On and Off hiring of our machinery (including attachments) at our Kewdale Depot. Your primary focus will be to ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of all equipment movements in and out of the yard, aligning with the Proquip process.
About The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring adherence to company procedures to guarantee accuracy and presentation, maximizing the overall customer experience.
Managing the overall yard space efficiently and effectively while upholding high QHS&E standards and cleanliness.
Liaising with hire coordination and Workshop teams to ensure timely deliveries and efficient communication in alignment with operational requirements.
Effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders to confirm all details for logistical purposes, ensuring smooth operational flow.
Identifying and assessing damages to off-hired equipment and meticulously following the damages process and guidelines as per company policy.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a harmonious work environment to enhance operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Participating in and proactively managing staff training, as required, to enhance skills and capabilities within the team.
Providing additional support to the Hire and Sales Teams as needed, contributing to the overall success of the department.
Liaising with truck drivers and customers to efficiently schedule and coordinate loading activities, ensuring smooth logistics operations.
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
3+ Years in a similar role.
Extensive experience in an industry governed by QHSE legislation.
Experience in a fast-paced, results-driven team is essential.
Leaderships skills for co-ordinating the operations team
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with tablets/iPads.
Attention to detail and accuracy with excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with and knowledge of a wide range of access equipment and the transport industry (preferred).
Forklift license for more than 12 months (preferred).
Basic mechanical knowledge in Earthmoving equipment (preferred, not essential).
Computer skills for tracking in and out roles.
Experience managing a team of 4-5 team members in coordination.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations, including late Friday evenings.
